Before the update I was having the most fun I have had since releasee. Put nearly 12 days played into a single character. I was blasting through T-15 waystones with triple stacked towers maybe dying a few times here or there when the game would drop frames or have intense screen flickering during Abyss/Simulacrum/Breach/Ritual. I play on a Series S so it's almost to be expected, but it is a serious problem that needs to be addressed.
The endgame now revolves heavily around boosting pack size and density, and that is the biggest culprit for the games poor performance. Since the update they seem to have boosted monster damage and I now go from 8k E.S to 0 health in an instant. Many times from monsters who have not spawned in, or attacks that have not even rendered. It's extremely frustrating. As for the tower changes, I actually feel the Atlas now feels extremely bland. I always felt like I had an objective or something to work towards. It felt very rewarding getting Towers stacked on a map and the Maps would all feel a little different in some ways. The current system is extremely bland and repetitive. I feel like I have no goals other than Crafting maps which I find tedious to begin with. I used to just fully stack them with 6 modifiers and let the towers take care of the rest. Now the waystones are so much more important, And I am wasting time sitting there crafting waystones which I have zero interest in. The towers were much more enjoyable as at least I was playing my character. They were also more rewarding and changed the gameplay up from just running the same 3 tablets for 10 straight maps. Not to mention how unfun most of the Waystone Mods are. Having Temporal chains or chilled ground on 90% of maps is such a pain. I understand they want to have friction but those mods are way too common and not really rewarding enough. I miss having the Rare icons show on the map, and the variation of only certain maps having bosses. I hope they have some big changes in store for the endgame coming with the next update because after Deleting towers the endgame feels extremely bland, unrewarding, aimless, and completely ruined their vision of the infinite atlas. It has no reason to be there anymore if they keep things like this, and that's unfortunate because I really liked it before. It had so much potential for more Unique maps and encounters to come. Sorry for rambling, I probably missed a lot of important points, but I had to at least put my feelings out there for how I feel about the changes. Dernier bump le 2 oct. 2025 à 18:54:46

Also the smaller maps means the majority of the loot all falls in one giant cluster making it an absolute pain in the ass to pick things up on controller. I am using a semi strict filter and it's actually rediculous now that the majority of the entire maps loot falls in one area. I enjoyed the larger maps, they were almost always the most rewarding and had room for all of the added on content. Smaller maps means everything is clustered on top of each other. It was good to have variation of maps, now I couldn't tell you the difference in most of them as they all feel like a cluster f$#!
