Nice trolling GGG

I dislike the new patch, they make the exp grind in HC (or gamepay in general) so much harder and riskier

GGG shouldn’t force players to run 6-mod maps just to apply tablets. Because 6-mod maps give more monster packs, which is the natural reward for running harder maps. By tying tablets to this condition, it feels like they’re treating it as part of the exchange (juicing removed), but forcing you to run a more difficult map, which is not what players expected at the start.
in the past, I can run 4 mods waystone on a (+50% - +100%) bonus exp mods after juicing

now I am forced to run 6 mods waystone for a max 60% exp mods AND you still need to grind the 20% tablet x 3

players are paying more (harder mods, time, effort, RISK) but getting less flexibility/reward, which doesn’t feel good long term.

Game devs can balance around difficulty, but if they undermine players’ sense of progress and motivation, disappointment sets in. Once players decided this patch is done, hype are hard to rebuild.

Even the casual farmer will find it less rewarding now when running maps. Having to roll 6 mods just to unlock 3 tablet slots is a huge spike in difficulty. I think a lot of players will feel it’s less rewarding compared to what they used to get from their builds before the patch.

With 6-mod maps, dying once (or exit to hideout via menu) will render the node useless. Players could already access the same content with just 4 mods previously, although it required extra time to juice the node or map. But what’s the point of putting the reward right in front of you, only to make it more difficult to actually obtain。

The Abyssal rares can easily push you out and abandon the map.

It’s like asking your boss for a weekend off from your 9–5 job, but in exchange he tells you to work 12-hour weekdays. Couldnt help but feel GGG is pulling the shortchange trick again.

I got lvl 100 in HC last league, I feel very demotivate to push after all these changes, they shift the goalpost in the middle of the match again, and again.

This is my first post. I don’t usually post, I really like this game — and the patch is just so disappointing.

Yeah, small thing but very annoying. I used to run even 2 mod waystones when going up levels in my hc ssf. Now I will be double punished - less bonuses from waystone, fine, but also less tablets
+1

It's brutal in HCSSF after this patch.

Mob density in early maps is like 60% - 70% lower than Interlude zones.

Waystone passives don't do a damn thing. They only drop from bosses and I've never seen more than 1.

Rare abyss mob health was increased by what feels like 300%. It is ridiculous how much tankier these mobs are after the patch.

Map mods are so punitive for HCSSF - but also just for the game in general:

- Negative Player Max Res
- Damage as Chaos
- Resistance Penetration

If you are going to put such punishing mods on low level maps, give me ways to build character defenses to counter such affixes. 80% of the passive tree is situational garbage.
+1 even in softcore it is overly punishing and not fun

losing map + massive xp loss + dying to bugs/visual clarity/server crashes is cancer
My thinking is that GGG is not trolling. GGG is serious in making poe2 a very difficult and very punishing top tier and top level ARPG.

If you think about it, now you have to kill the Boss in order to get waystone sustain.

This creates situation of risks of death in every map. This means that the people have to spend more time farming for gear and for crafting and for trading to defeat the boss. The players also need to spend more time to learn how to dodge the mechanics of the boss.

This means that those players that want to skip bosses have to buy waystones from Doriyani or buy from other players. This means you need to pick up all items to vendor for gold and for disenchant and for reforging and for salvaging. This means that you need to accumulate resources in order to buy the maps you need if you are unable to kill bosses for waystone sustain.

Hence this forces the players to spend even more time farming and grinding and playing the game. I know this is crazy but I seriously think that this is the direction that GGG wants to go to.

It feels like they make changes only considering immediately impact. They should look at domino impact of changes since the game is complex.
Not only that now I need to burn way more Exalted Orbs to juice a compactible 6-mod map just so I can apply 3 tablets for the same exp experience I had before the patch.

Sure, some will argue “just run 3 mods then,” but the reality is my exp/hour would tank, which is not supposed to be encountered prior the patch. With the 6-mod waystone requirement, I’m forced to waste time grinding low exp/hour maps just to farm enough Ex before I can even start running proper 6-mod / 3-tablet setups again.

GGG, you’re effectively slowing the game down under the pretense of making it “more challenging and rewarding.” You can make changes, but doing this mid-league is unfair to players who already set their goals based on the league’s initial parameters.
Game become aggressive Souls ARPG system ever created.
Target: only hardcore players.
99% players has nothing to search here.
