Campaign skip after the first one
One of the best parts of the game and getting longevity out of a season is rolling new charecters. Please please let us skip the campaign or at least have an abriged version after completing it the first time. Having to slog 10+ hours just to get to re-roll and try a new charecter is so annoying and seems unecessary especially given how long the campaign in this game is.

The campaign is so long in an interview ziz literally asked Jonathan and Mark "With such a 'heavy' campaign, do you even WANT us playing multiple characters per league? Or do you expect us to skip leagues?"
They looked confused, but unfortunately they didn't get the hint. Nobody ever asked for a new campaign. Nobody ever wanted a BIGGER campaign. in POE 1 when little things slow down the campaign we absolutely lose our shit -- we do not enjoy the tutorial whatsoever. Many would prefer the game not even have a campaign at this point. I have played POE 1 since 2019 -- every league we have to do the campaign. Most leagues I play 3-4 characters each league, sometimes more.. That means for going on 6 years, I run the campaign 12-16+ times per year. That means i've run the campaign 72 to 96 times. Now imagine having to run the shitty POE 2 campaign 72-96 times. Like 1,000 hours doing the same exact thing over, and over, and over... The POE 1 campaign was a 3 hour ordeal for years.. but POE 2 campaign is just painful. It sucks the fun right out of you entirely. |

PoE 2 campaign is amazing. "The game starts in maps" is stupid mindset of gabling addicts. Honestly I don't see a huge difference between campaign and endgame maps.

" Right? I love the PoE2 campaign and Act 4 was my favorite yet. It's mapping in end game I hate. it is so repetitive and boring. |

I'm kinda on the fence about this. I love the campaign, and I find mapping very boring. But I have played the campaign for like 20+ times now (I didn't play 0.2), and it's starting to wear me down.
I like playing multiple builds in a season, mainly because I like variation. Which is enhanced by the fact that there's usually something new to discover due to changes to skills or the tree. I can't imagine doing this every season, though. The campaign, as great as it is, simply feels too long. The main factor to this is the size (and structure) of the maps, I think. There is not enough going on that warrants the vastness of the areas. You'll fight the same set of mobs again and again. Take Kahri Crossing, for example. It's huge, but there's isn't much interesting to see. Circle the outside for the exits and the boss arena, then find the merchant (maybe? probably not even worth it), ignore as much of the rest as possible. The structure of many maps with tons of dead ends reinforces this feeling of 'not getting anywhere'. It feels like slogging through molasses trying to find the objective. This constand backtracking is even more annoying than the vastness of some open areas. I remember D4 dungeons being scathed for that on launch, but little of that happened here. For me to play the campaign every couple of months (multiple times, in my case) it would really have to be condensed down, keeping what is in there, but less of it while also keeping the amount of progression through these condensed areas. I think what it boils down to is: be concise with content. Take out filler, and it will feel better overall. Of course, the idea is to keep players engaged, but that task falls to the endgame. " No, go play Diablo 4 if you want to skip campaigns.. Wish there were downvotes on this forum... Kids can't seem to comprehend that if half the community can skip a campaign and start farming endgame currency right away it is not a fair playing field in a economy driven game. Therefore EVERYONE would skip it, so they are not left behind why the economy inflates... So OP it would never be a choice, and it would be a must. So it would be a terrible change for a economy driven game. Re-read the first sentence if you disagree. Dernière édition par DarkArchitech#4750, le 2 oct. 2025 à 10:16:04

I don't understand this at all. As we can see by the current discourse, endgame sucks.
I wish I could get a Waystone that dropped as Act 1, or Act 2, or Interlude X. Roll map modifiers on it and play through the entire chapter with +Rarity/Quantity/Atlas Passives. |
