No more map drops at the end of the map?

I used to get a waystone at the end of every map (by killing the map boss or by killing the last rare mob), now after this update, it's not droping anymore those waystones at the end, is this intended?

Are you playing with 6 mods waystone or not?

rarely, 90% of time nope, but before update I also wasn't playing with 6 mods and always got a waystone at the end by killing boss or last rare mob

I don’t see problem with 5 or 6 mods, the game want high risk high reward so, git gud i guess.

I don’t see problem with 5 or 6 mods, the game want high risk high reward so, git gud i guess.

it's not about gid gud or not, just want to understand if this was an intended change or not, as I said, the game always dropped a waystone at the end of the run, independently of how many affixes the map had.

Not really sure what this guy is on about because the guaranteed Waystone drop has absolutely nothing to do with the number of mods or how gud you can git.

Every map should drop at least 1 Waystone and this didn't change with 0.3.1; if you're not getting at least one it's a bug.

Damn I must be hallucinating cuz there’s a line on the waystone said something like “%increase waystone drop chance” and it increases according to the number of mods. Sr lil bro I guess there’s hidden mechanic for waystone to drop.

yep might be a bug, not sure honestly.. I did 2 maps in a row that didn't dropped a single waystone, they used to drop at the end of the map after you killed every rare mob or the map boss

I though GGG changed how those waystone drops works after the update but you are saying this didn't changed on 0.3.1 so no idea whats going on

Well, I was curious so I went back and read the patch notes and it sounds like I was not quite right... 0.3.1 didn't change anything, but the notes from 0.2 say this:

"

* Waystones can no longer drop at a lower tier than the map you are in.
* Waystones dropped by Final Map Bosses will now always be one tier higher than the map you are in.
* Final Map Bosses and the final naturally-occurring Rare Monsters in Tier 1 maps have a 100% chance to drop a waystone. This chance scales down as you get into higher Map Tiers, but will still be guaranteed with appropriate investment into Waystone Suffix Modifiers and through the Atlas Passive Tree. Natual waystone drops have been reduced to compensate.

I always get at least 1 Waystone, but I definitely do have a couple of the Waystone Quantity mods on the Atlas Tree so that might be pushing me above 100%. If you don't, you might be at like 70 or 80 or something? Of course they won't tell us the exact numbers but sounds like you can get below 100 if you don't invest.
