Boss not visible on map? "Can go straight to the boss if you like." How???

How can i go straight to the boss, doing as much or as little of the rest of the map as i want, if i cant see where the boss is?????? Did yall forget why you added rare markers to the map in the first place??????

well the icon shows when you get closer to it, they always did. i see no problem with it since it was always about 'not missing' the rare/boss rather than homing to it right form the gate
