Constantly frozen since patch! ("chilled" debuff)

Sinze the patch today almost every rare mob and boss is freezing me with random attacks that shouldn't. No matter what map modifier i get freezed. Just fought the mermaid boss and her attack did instantly freeze me and after that i got killed. My friend got attacked by the same spell and nothing happens to him.
Whats wrong with my game?

I'm getting perma-frozen when opening chests. This was never an issue prior to the patch.

so whats the issue? im a la deadeye and my friends plays monk. Hes on melee range with the mobs and never gets chilled. im shooting from behind and get the chilled debuff every 5 seconds while my charm is on cooldown the whole time cause i get frozen that much...
