Now remove the Atlas entirely.
Just remove the whole map.
Make waystones open a random map. Remove the portal/lives limit. Start the map AT the boss encounter. Reduce the map sizes another 50%. Make all maps one short tunnel you can run through after the Boss fight. More or less line up the mobs in ascending order starting with the weakest enemies at the start of the tunnel and ending with all the Rares at the end. There, problems solved. The game will be mindless, entirely lack any build up or investment, build diversity can easily double, people who know nothing about the game can feel accomplished AND everyone gets to larp as top down Dark Souls every 10 minutes.
