No Towers and Bosses are very punishing

Before 3.1 I could juice up an area with xp, rarity, whatever it may be and then I could safely run these maps with blue maps or yellow maps with just a couple mods. Then on a few maps I could choose to run some max juiced maps.

This choice is completely gone, and now to be able to use the same amount of tablets I need to always be running a fully juiced map with a bunch of negative mods, and have to kill a boss too.

If I just want to run some blue maps, I no longer can with added XP, or quantity, or rarity...

This is a bad change, because you are taking away choices from the player. Then forcing them to fight bosses in over juiced maps, and it is more than likely even if you are a good player and geared you can still be one shot and lose XP, map, loot, etc.

What about all the players that have wave clear builds, and are not good boss killers? I have a few friends that when they see the changes they will more than likely quit, because they were already avoiding bosses to try and level and get more currency to upgrade so they can eventually farm them, and now you stonewalled them.

How's everyone else feeling about these changes?

I like fighting bosses. I want to use my boss points. I want to fight bosses.

I think they could probably buff tablets further on some mods. Maybe then running blues will be more viable?

As for boss killer vs not; I've been meaning to set up weapon swap points. I don't really have a problem bossing vs clearing, my deaths are all poor play, but it's an option to optimize and use a system I wasn't before.
Personally, I hate fighting bosses. I was perfectly happy with fighting them only when I chose to in the endgame instead of every single map.

I wish there was a way of enjoying the endgame without everything being funneled into more boss fights, but here we are.

And I do not. Let's make it optional so we can both enjoy our respective playstyles.
3.0 towers was honestly more fun. Could have used some changes sure, but not practically removing them.
And honesty maps just needed more variation in how to complete them rather than changing it to always be a boss. I would rather have seen them take inspiration from Kirac missions, so some maps could be completed by just completing a random event or two.
It feels like the boss pool is not big enough for a boss on every map. So many repeats.

Same, I would rather have the choice to play a boss map super juiced or not juiced at all, especially when I need to complete the node to continue exploring the end game atlas. Not fun losing all the xp you earned in the past 3 hours to a 1 shot while the loot is trash.

Seen messages in steam from my friends confirming they quit the league too, one was a 8k energy shield chaos lich, said they lost all their xp they gained pre patch and now are at 0% 97 again...

Insane how GGG thought it would be "fun" to brick half their player base.

I was planning on going to level 100 this league until 3.1 stopped me and my friends from doing so. Stopping at 98.5, because this is not fun.

Give me an Atlas Keystone passive called Jonathan's Vision that reverts poe2 endgame and towers to pre-3.1.
I like the idea of the changes, but having to run juiced waystones to use your tablets seems like a bad decision.

Why have this restriction? Juicing the maps makes adding optional content more efficient so you will generally want to have more mods anyway.

But if I want to waste my tablet uses on an easier map, why is that a problem?

Let us have the option of running less dense/easier maps with more optional content if we want. I don't see any advantage in it other than being able to play it safer for less reward.

They also could have left the option to use them the old way if people wanted to.

Also not sure I like the idea of not having map icons to plan our routes around - I guess we are just going by whether there are unique maps, towers, citadels, corruption etc. in a given direction?

Finally, I thought what was needed was more varied map objectives not less. Making it always 'kill the boss' isn't horrible but it does seem like it's going to have maps all feel more similar.

Then again, it's hard to make any objective that isn't just 'kill the monsters' fun in a game like this. D4 tries to do that in dungeons and lots of people hate it. Personally I don't mind rescuing prisoners, finding keys or whatever but I get why some don't like it.
