I'm done with this games horrible PERFORMANCE - Time to quit for an extended period

I run a summoner, it seems my only option is to either

1. re-roll a build with no summons / little particles

2. quit the game and find something actually optimized

When I first got into POE1 and then POE2 I was that quintessential FAN BOY, literal SIMP status for GGG, I thought they were amazing and fully believed I had found the best company to support... But then time passed and ummm,

I'm quite bitter I won't lie, I love this game and have put over 1400+ hours between poe1 and poe2, I even went out and bought an entirely new PC SPECIFICALLY FOR POE2!!!

My previous PC could play every single game at ultra settings, it was a 4070ti with an i7 12700f, I figured the CPU was holding me back so I upgraded to a new 5070ti with 9800x3d... It was noticeable change, but we're talking , 40 FPS instead of 20... It's ridiculous!

My current PC runs 32GB ram, SSD , 5070ti and 9800x3d,

I HAVE DONE EVERY SINGLE CHANGE I CAN TO FIX PERFORMANCE!!! For nearly a YEAR I have been scouring these forums and reddit and online pages looking for fixes, I have done them ALL!!

From Cache folder deletion , Increasing cache size , lowering or raising certain settings, download Nvidia analyzer or w/e to change the ReBar,

I have spent a literal year almost finding every little change or "fix" you can think of, and have done it.... to absolutely NO AVAIL.

My only option is literally getting used to playing at 30 FPS despite spending dam near $3000 on a PC.


It has left me bitter, and looking at GGG as if they are outright incompetent and more interested in what their game looks like on streamers computers (Which is Ironic because it now even looks like crap on streamers PC's also)

And we hear all the time about how they are making POE2 more "visual clarity" focused, and "Better Performance"


Even with this latest patch, The performance was noted in the patch notes as focusing on abyss cracks, and it literally feels worse!!


I'm so over it, I feel like GGG doesn't even know what the hell they are doing. There are plenty of ARPGs out there that don't run like dogwater on high end systems.



I'm done supporting this game as long as it plays like a dam slide show, it's an embarrassment and GGG should truly feel ashamed to have people paying for a product (REMEMBER THIS ONE ISN'T FREE TO PLAY) and letting it run like absolute crap, it's a joke honestly, I can play literally any game on the market and they all run amazingly, even the most highest demanding graphical games... I mean, I'm willing to bet even BORDERLANDS4 would run better on my PC than POE2, HAHAHA LOL!!! WHAT A JOKE RIGHT? BORDERLANDS 4!!!!




Truly, GGG has lost all my respect for leaving the game in the state that it is, I feel like it will always be like this as well, I feel like I'm literally being lied to and mocked when they say they are working on performance here or there, when we know dam well that they won't even give us the ability to lower settings to actually improve performance because "THEY DON'T WANT THE GAME TO LOOK BAD ON STREAMS" while also saying that "POE2 will have an emphasis on VISUAL CLARITY" , when meanwhile we literally cant see ANYTHING at ALL, and people cant even play with friends literally AT ALL because they will crash or drop for 2fps because of particles.

LOL!!! What an absolute joke this company is, they should be ashamed to even step foot on those streams knowing this is the quality they are putting out.

Bro why didn’t you ask Johnathan for his PC spec, I’m sure he tested and played the game smoothly.

It was actually a bit eye opening when I play Merc league on POE1... I had rose tinted glasses on for my first 600 hours in POE1 playing builds that weren't very visual cluttery, and fully believed it was the best optimized game on the planet!!

And then merc league dropped and I played FROSS and it was truly hilarious how bad the visual clarity was, and even in POE1 my FPS dropped but not nearly as bad as POE2.


I'm just so over searching for fixes and feeling like I've finally found one when the games runs 10 fps higher and smoother for 1 session before coming back the following day to find that it has degraded to a crap show yet again because of who even knows why??

yeah this sucks man..


The game is broken, and I can see with my own eyes... when the most mobs show up on the screen and things get hectic with big pulls, the usage of my GPU and CPU both drop significantly... it's like, when they should be being used more, the game breaks and doesn't know how to work properly resulting in GPU and CPU usage BOTH dropping.
