GGG I challenge you to...
Level up a warrior (or any armor\life class of your choice) and play maybe 30 juiced maps at T15 or greater.
Then... Level up an ES based class and play maybe 30 juiced maps at T15 or greater. Why? Its an absolutely amazing difference in comfortability and predictability in survivability. ES is like a warm blanket on a cold night. A cold beverage on an otherwise empty stomach. It just feels good. Armor\life on the other hand feels like walking around your living room at night time with scattered lego pieces all over the floor. You know they're there, but it doesn't matter. You're going to step on legos, and its going to hurt. There should be sacrifices to playing certain classes\ascendencies\playstyles. This is not novel or innovative. Its a long standing trope of sorts. Heavy armor should be slower at the cost of more survivability. Light armor should be faster at the cost of less survivability. I don't even care about damage. I fully expect that higher armor should mean I'd become more tanky at some cost. I fully expect that if I equip a shield, it should significantly increase my survivability, especially when compared to a freakin' focus. Why does it feel exactly the opposite? I don't believe ES should be nerfed, but I absolutely believe that armor should be significantly buffed. I get that you wouldn't want to touch life because of what we're seeing with bloodmages, but armor absolutely needs an outstanding amount of work. Dernier bump le 1 oct. 2025 à 01:57:08

Armour doesnt need any significant buffs its in a great spot.
ES on the other hand needs hard nerfs to it not just in its numbers but mechanics surrounding its recovery and additional defense mechanics you have at the top of the tree. Mash the clean

" I disagree with your assertion that armor is in a great spot. Its a fair argument to be made, but personally I think ES feels good and armor feels bad, therefor its my thinking that ES should be left alone and armor buffed. Armor should be tanky and predictable, evasion should be tanky but unpredictable, and ES should be predictable but squishy. I agree with you though that the disparity lies in the ES regen rate\time buffs gotten from the passive tree, gear, and jewels - and its not a mechanic that exists with armor for obvious reasons. Would I want to see that nerfed though just to be balanced? No not really. I guess if anything, lowering the cieling for these buffs would be fine. But again, it feels good as it is, and armor just feels terrible. |

" if armour is so good then why do you need 9K ES? and if they hard nerf ES then did you even think what would it do to your build? would you get constant 1 shot? you are using 9K ES for a reason so i assume you were getting constant 1 shots with just HP and armour? you wanting something you actively use yourself hard nerfed is a bit weird to me |

Hi, high end Warbringer here,
I can confirm that Armour is in a great spot, but Life in particular is not. Armour is actually a fantastic source of mitigation now, but Life could serve to have a 20% increase across the board in order to give the Life reliant (Evasion too) classes the time necessary to properly get out of ground degen effects |

" you didnt answer the question. why do you need 9K ES with your 2K HP and armour? you were getting constant 1 shots without the ES? and i already know the answer is yes, so then why do you want it nerfed so much? you keep saying how great HP/armour is and then you have 9K ES... |

" You know whats funny about that 9.5k es character is? Guess what other defense I am using. Mash the clean

" I think you must have misunderstood Mash's statement. Mash isn't calling for nerfs on Armour, they're calling for nerfs on ES. Mash also didn't make a statement on Life, they said Armour was in a great spot and didn't need buffs. Dernière édition par MathiasSoul#7397, le 30 sept. 2025 à 22:59:12

" I agree somewhat on life but they HAVE to be careful with it and a bit reserved. It could go on some notables but if they start making generic life more valuable, then it just makes ES builds EVEN MORE stronger. Like 2k life on this current hybrid build of mine, is more than enough life. If it got anymore then yeesh. Would be a bit silly. Mash the clean
