Immedate Issue with the new Tower / Map update
So, with the changes to each map node just 'kill the boss' for completion and no longer about the rares, i was kinda on my own impression that the 'yellow rare skulls' would still be in the map / mini map at least.
but they arnt. so with them now gone again we are reverting back to the orginal issue that even GGG Orginally Acknowledged, is that it now causes players to endlessly roam each corner of the map in order to track down all the elites for farming. Which makes mapping longer not shorter. Like the new changes but please put back in the rare map indicators. so my unique tablets were good for about 30 maps prior to the patch now they're worth like 5, wut.

Yup. You still want to find all the rares if you want to maximize your chances at dropping loot. So, now, with no indicators, we're back to having to search the entire map.

-rare mini map icons probably a bug - hopefully developers fix fast -if this method is be the future, uses need to go up if map smaller/pack size smaller AND should allow more tablets to be used at once. -Unique tablets should allow more than 5 uses (at least 15 IMHO). -density seems off which is probably tied to drops/tablets/juicing maps to the max which is not enjoyable micromanaging those (running T15s) I appreciate them trying something but still doesn't feel like this is an answer or even a bandaid. I blasted through 5 blue maps just to check the supposed "additional content" that's supposed to spawn - full clears. Over 5 maps I got: 5 strongboxes (three guaranteed) 2 shrines 2 delirium portals 3 spirits (maybe one or two died from killing the rares, but I doubt it, since I don't see where those are either) That's it - over 5 maps. This is the most tedious the game has ever been content-wise. I really hope it's a bug, because I ain't playing this. +320% strongbox/ +280% spirit chance + the node for less density and more additional content, btw. Just did 3 maps, DEFINTLY is more noticable of a slog with backtracking now to find rares. Might go back to just sekema running lol

" Yeah I noticed that. Strongbox feels so terrible now and I fucking hate that I basically have to run 0 portal maps now to use my three tablets. I was fine running 0 portal maps for just the towers, but being forced to run them for every map to juice is atrocious. In general, this portal system feels extremely unfair towards Solo players. The one advantage we had in PoE 1 over Groups was the fact that we at least had 6 attempts to clear our maps. Groups basically lost their maps when one person died, but in exchange they got much more currency. Now for Groups pretty much everything stayed the same between PoE 1 and PoE 2, but Solo players are completely screwed. You get much less currency and can lose your juiced map with a single mistake. It's terrible. GGG needs to either give Solo Players back their 6 portals or change the massive gap between how much currency a group generates and how much a Solo player generates. The current system is simply unfair from a Solo perspective. |
