0.3 Feedback

Hello,

After grinding a lot in 0.3 I have found some complaints.

I feel that you can't use 99% of items in endgame, since at some point, maybe above level 80, you are going to look for the "perfect" item. It needs only t1 and t2 mods and the right ones, too. I don't know if this is good design, because it feels like most of your time in endgame is spent basically sorting through an endless pile of garbage in hopes of finding or crafting one good item, which kind of never happens. I am not joking, it never happens. I have spent over 1000 hours on this game and haven't found one item with my warrior over level 80 that I would want to use over the items that I traded for. I think this is a big design flaw to be honest.

The flask system is somehow not designed well, I think. I'd really like to have to manage my resources, life and mana, properly. But having flasks that gain charges by killing mobs, especially in endgame, reduces this kind of management to basically just clicking a flask at the right time. I think the resource management system around life and mana would be much more engaging, if I had to wager which spells and skills to use, instead of just clicking a flask at the right time. Titan Quest 2 did this better, I think.

My biggest complaint is probably that there is no feeling of progression anymore in endgame. Most of the time I don't even know what to trade for anymore, because I can do T15 maps easily now with my level 86 warrior. What's the point? To farm quicker? I think that's boring. There needs to be some kind of incentive to progress besides doing things quicker. There needs to be more difficulty that forces me to progress and optimize my character, otherwise progression becomes meaningless. Granted, I am not doing delirium at the moment, but maybe my point is still valid.

In kind regards

I usually play with my friend on XBOX - we like it a lot. However, we regularly have this exact conversation about items being useless for the most part. The other issue is there is no way on Xbox to color code items or, simply, allow the user to REMOVE the drops based on a filter - I dont need most of the gear anymore.

Also, as someone who has a full time job I can't spend doezens of hours learning crafting and then doing crafting, I am forced to buy stuff that suits the build and my character. I personally feel like most of the crafting system is expensive gambling - but I might be wrong.

However, our biggest complaint is SERVER performance... we have done trials yesterday and were forced to quit the game at least 10 times during trial just to get back to an instance that actually works. After that for almost 1 hour we could not even login to an instance that worked.

All other bugs and improvements are secondary if you cant login and play the game.

Just had an idea. They could've done Rogue Exiles in a way that they are the main difficulty spike in endgame where you need to optimize your character in order to progress or you will get beaten by said rogue exiles. At the moment rogue exiles are just fodder most of the time anyway.
Crafting is much better this league IF you get the orbs and omens needed for it.
It can defenitly be rough but i play SSF so it's a bit different.

If you play trade you probably could sell items or currencies you dont need to buy the proper currencies/omen to craft your own gear.
I think you kinda want to follow some guide or something on it tough. But it's defenitly possible to craft top end gear more easily now.

Is it usefull for late game? Probably not tbh, you really dont need mirror type items to do all the content available.

About this i'm very sorry but i really hope flask will remain the same. I'm a survival game player and the most tedious possible. I keep that for thoose not for poe2 lol
