Too many monsters in the maps
Interlude maps are way too overcrowded with monsters. There’s really no need to have that many monsters filling the map. It’s impossible to walk a single step without having a thousand of them on you, which completely kills any desire to explore. Better to have fewer but stronger monsters instead.

fewer stronger monsters = Less experience, slower leveling, slow progress.
They added all those monsters because exp is dogshit in this game, it feels bad and they know it. So they added more monsters to offset the slow xp gain in POE 2. |

" Amazing take... have you ever thought about the fact that they could've just increased exp gained on those harder monsters? No? Ok. "Not enough EXP? Put more monsters in!" - that's exquisite logic right there. "Sigh" Dernière édition par IonSugeRau1#1069, le 29 sept. 2025 à 13:03:36

" they could kinda "merge" them. more vision clarity - good betyer performance - good engaging combat - less chore gameplay - good more skills viable, not forced to fill full screen with projectiles or aoe - good while keep the progression and loot the same or even better. |

+1 less monsters, exp the same around. The cluster screen is ridiculous and should be stopped pushing more and more. We have already game poe1.

Maybe it could vary from place to place; some zones you would get lots of weaker monsters, others you get fewer, stronger monsters.

It would be awesome and epic if GGG can reduce the monsters by 90% and make the fewer mobs harder and extremely challenging with ten times the exp gain.
Bring in all the difficult and challenging and annoying modifiers like proximal tangibility, temporal chains, mana siphon, life regen, energy shield, minions will revive, volatile plants, increased skill speed and movement speed, all kinds of DOTs and ailments plus corrupting blood to make the game extremely exciting. 34pre98qua

more monsters=more xp. xp is already really bad at end game but sure lets make it even worse.

yeah, they should reduce the density of monsters all across endgame. 3x less for example, while they can buff their stats and rewards accodringly.
It will not only improve gameplay and performance, but also whould help balance skills: making single-target skill/builds more viable. |
