My summary of 0.3 league
so I'm done with 0.3, had some fun, wasn't enough to keep me going because of the economy issues and just the whole gameplay loop of ' invest hundreds of hours, then just delete your standard character ' mentality, it weighs in heavy with me knowing what im working towards isnt what i truly enjoyed playing.. I never found the build i truely enjoyed playing... I like the 0-button RF style builds and this is kinda how I felt up until this point...
0.1 - played 2 classes a bunch got burnt didn't truly wanna min/max anything ( i love min/maxing) 0.2 - I was busy addicted to another game, so i skipped 0.2 thinking it wouldn't have anything of interest for me, since i was thinking RF is what I was waiting for and it would come in either a skill gem, or a class passive etc. but of course, I missed the 1 league where they actually had what I would've prolly likely the most called "Beira's Anguish" it was a charm which had a similiar effect to RF but wasn't quiet there. but I'd prolly enjoy that the most... 0.3 - I was bored in gaming, so i came back and tested out some stuff. I learned about "Beira's Anguish" and got hyped.. then patch notes dropped and I saw Beira's Anguish was nerfed so bad that it wasn't worth going anymore... so that hype died. had to think of something so this is what I did for 0.3 1st char; witchhunter, wanted to do a thorns type build, with a 100-passive point swap for single target problems. wasn't working out like i'd hoped and I learned some things along the way... 2nd char; warbringer, this was my 3rd time making a warcry build so i knew moreso what to do and how it'd play out, wanted to see how it felt with the 'newer' changes... which honestly... would've had lots of fun with this, but I ran into problems... I turned to it because i saw they added a reverse knockback pair of gloves.. and a astral projection support gem for novas, so i was thinking woah.. you can range cast it too?!?!? sounded amazing... however.. I tried it.. but me previous character i also learned about wind dancer... and I wanted to have more of a warcry to pulled monsters inward, so they'd explode much better being ina tight group. as well as wind dancer (which you need to be closer) to pop them as well. It was like an implosion warcry'r... it was really cool.. lots of AoE to pull them in, the new 2% hp/cast support gem was very nice, I felt very tanky... BUT, heres why I quit it... so, I didn't wanna use this astral projection because it countered my wind dancer right? so i took it off, loved just running around casting, BUT, whenyou have too many monsters close to you, and collision is a think still, your characters casting starts getting really messed up, and your character gets pushed around all over the place... I'd love to revisit this build IF/WHEN they introduce Phasing into the game. that way my character doesn't bounce around... but yeah it was really cool build. stacking warcry speed/aoe size/movement speed/reduced movement while casting skills, really was neat being able to cast and run at the same time pretty fast, since old versions this wasn't a thing and casting meant you'd move slowly during.. etc etc.. you get the idea... 3rd char; titan. HOLY that 50% bonus to small passives titan passive is SO OP. so for this build I wanted to run faster... I was going to get level 40 wind dancer and just wreck... and i had somewhere in the 30's and things were blowing up. theres some bug with herald of blood that made the health bar background kinda glitch out which kinda sucked, but the build was pretty strong but at this point, it was my 3rd build with a reactive 'thorn' hit me, so i can dmg you back kinda build.. and i wanted to just sprint through and kill things, like RF would... so i eventually scrapped this. also i felt like i had to use mace skills, which i'd use leapslam and it was kinda clunky, and the dmg was too good not to use and just wait around being hit wasn't as fast as doing both.. so i felt i had to leap.. which i didn't want... 4th and final build. infernalist. this was the most fun i think i had all season? sure the warcry woulda been my fave, if phasing was a thing, sure 40 wind dancer woulda slapped but... this was more of what i wanted. which was a 0-button run style setup. so with this build used some tech to capture a blood elemental (spectre) which you need a choronomancer to help you capture) found out they nerfed the blood ele, but just ran with him anyway.... I stacked minion hp/dmg and used a support gem (infernal legion) which acts kinda like RF, they take burning dmg based on their hp, but then deal that dmg to nearby enemies. you stack tons of max fire res to help offset them from just dying. and then I stacked movement speed, and evasion. because when you sprint, yes, sprint. you can evade attacks. youll eventually outrun your minions, but they run back super fast to you, and will kill along that path, it's not like they just teleport to you, and over mobs preventing kills. but this build had some crazy potential, I just kinda burnt out cause it was my 4th character, the economy got fk'd up, and i might go back and play some but ehh, idk, the inflation is just so bad, the items i want are so expensive.. but the potential of this build... I'll likely league start this next league assuming nothing is nerfed, and they don't bring anything to the game thats like RF... but being able to sprint, dodge attacks to not get knocked down ( if you do you wont die anyway ) and then kill monsters as your SPRINTING?!?! it was pretty sick... I was still underleveled ( only 87 ) and had some older boots which i coulda/shoulda swapped out but just burnt out too soon. but I think if i got new boots and all those movespeed runes, which i'd need 3-4 of them @around 18+ div a pop.. it'd be pricey.. but with those AND some more passive points, I couldn't picked up I tihnk I calc'd around +82% more movement speed, and I could only image what this build woulda felt like sprinting with that much of a boost, it woulda been nuts. think of that.. sprinting+dodging+killing.. the build was great.. there was some clunkyness w/ minions + added lag, so I woulda much prefered just straight up RF.. but this is the closest build i've played to it so far... ( some ppl run a weapon swap variation of this type build which that playstyle feels awful, i wouldn't reccomend that version ) just sprint build.. you know how many builds can't move that fast + survive + kill? haha, it's maybe worth checkin out if thats what your into. IDK about the witch ascendency line, you can either go witch or with ranger classes as options... but uhh yeah I think that's it for me this season. Beira's Anguish - coulda been, shoulda been... but for some reason was nerf to the point they may as well removed it.. and IDK why... there are other options far stronger and faster, and yet this one.. maybe just wasn't quiet what they wanted just yet? honestly i was thinking they dont want a 0-button build. where all you do is sprint. and because sprint came out, maybe that's why? IDK... really hope my build doesnt get nerfed for next league. cause uhhh... why nerf anything in the game? sure you don't want ppl to 1-shot trivialize the end-game boss pinnacle contents, idk how strong Beira's Anguish was in 0.2 since i skipped it.. but if it wasn't wreckin' bosses like some of these other builds are, why was it removed? its all for fun anyways? you waste your time building something, you force us to go to standard and its all trash anyway, so with that being said.. can you just put RF into the game already?
