(Suggestion) Can we make co-op and loot a bit more chill in PoE2?

Hey Exiles,

I’ve been loving PoE2 so far, but man… there are a couple of things in co-op and loot that really break the flow for me (and a lot of my friends too). Wanted to toss this out here to see if I’m crazy, or if others feel the same.

1. Co-op XP sharing feels too punishing

Right now, if you’re not within a certain range, you basically get nothing. Which means:

If your party has one giga-chad build deleting screens, everyone else is just running after him, trying to grab scraps.

Sometimes the screen is so messy you can’t even see what’s going on(couldn't see any incoming projectiles), let alone contribute.

👉 My idea:

Give us an option/toggle: full-map XP or radius XP.

Or just expand the radius a bit so you don’t feel punished for being a few steps away.

I get it, “full-map XP” can lead to split-farming and leeching. But honestly… depth in PoE 2 is about builds, trade, and strategy or battle experience — not about whether you stood 5 meters too far from Chad Cyclone. And if leeching is the issue, add AFK detection or XP scaling, don’t punish legit players.

2. Looting breaks the combat flow

Look, we all love loot explosions, but right now it feels like:
fight → stop → pick up 10 yellows → ID them → realize they suck → drop them → repeat.

Even with a loot filter, your inventory gets stuffed with unidentified bases, blues, yellows… it kills the pacing.

👉 My idea:

Last Epoch style: items drop already identified, so the filter actually works.

Boss/area drop: don’t clutter the floor mid-map, just rain it all at the end like Breach boss.

Less but better loot: fewer items, but with a higher chance of decent tiers.

I know the counter-arguments:

“Loot ID is part of PoE’s identity, it’s like gambling!”

“Stopping to loot is a meaningful decision!”

“If loot is too clean, economy inflates!”

But here’s the thing:

Real depth = buildcraft, trade, atlas choices. Clicking on trash 500 times isn’t depth, it’s chores.

The “gamble” feeling can be kept in boss drops or big moments, not random blue boots every 2 screens.

Identified loot ≠ higher drop rates. Rarity stays the same, economy doesn’t break.

"
TL;DR

Not saying PoE2 should become Diablo 3 or Last Epoch. Just asking for options:

Let us pick XP sharing style.

Let us pick loot/ID style.

Keep the original for purists, give the QoL version for players who just want smoother co-op and less bag management.

Would love to hear what you guys think — am I alone on this, or would you also play more co-op if these changes existed?
