Arbiter of Ash is NOT FUN
Hey so I get this is supposed to be the final boss and it's supposed to be challenging but many parts of this encounter feel unfair and not fun at all.
You spend so much time just going from safe zone to safe zone and just when you think it's your turn to do something, nope it's another series of move here then move here then move here. And sometimes the next safe zone is literally too far to get to in time so you have to start over. The second phase has an insta-kill attack that's just egregious. It's literally impossible to avoid unless you can pull of what feels like a frame perfect dodge. I was able to complete the encounter by saving all my mana flask charges for the second phase and brute forcing the boss before he could do his unavoidable insta-kill move. Didn't feel rewarding at all, all I got for my trouble was 2 boss atlas points, yippee. I quite like the other end game content but this one is just...maaaaan. I don't even want to do the uber version unless I can get some ridiculus uber-budget gear. Anyways, thanks for reading. Dernier bump le 27 sept. 2025 à 23:56:14

" "All I got was a significant improvement to the outcome of every single map boss I will ever do in the future" like literally among the most impactful rewards in the game. |

" Map bosses are the single most boring part of the game and one of the least rewarding ones. Personally, if the damn atlas points didn't flash I'd not even allocate them on the boss tree. |

" Map bosses give your map free +1 to map level. Map bosses give you 30% chance for free corruption, which means more monster packs and also a random corruption, one of the possibilities being +1 map level, giving you a total of +2 to map level, opening up the possiblity for ilvl 82 map. Map bosses also drop items 2 levels above your map level, that in addition to the +1 to map level means they will always drop ilvl 82 items if ur running t15 waystones. Map bosses and the atlas points related to them are very rewarding. You are just uninformed. | |
" I mean, that's a bummer guy but surely you understand that GGG designing boss rewards around your personal preferences might have unintended impacts on everyone who isn't you which statistically speaking is almost everyone. |

It's one of the worst boss fights in all PoE 1 and 2 and I hate it with a passion. If I want to play keyboard acrobatics simulator I go play Geometry Dash.
GGG knows how to design good boss fights, so I don't get why it's always the pinnacle bosses where they completely blow it. Xesht being the honorable exception here. |
