Plunder Point Should have a WARNING!
HI Team,
I am not sure what the thinking is behind introducing a mechanic where you loose all the loot you havent picked up yet when you die, without any warning? Up until plunder point, the player does not risk loosing gear if he dies, it does not despawn. Then with plunder point, suddenly its 1 death and done? no loot for you if you thought you could wait till the mobs were cleared but got done? What was the gaming philosophy behind not at least warning the player the first time you introduce this mechanic? You should aim not to make players feel like they have wasted their time. This was the first point in my playthrough where I felt like my time was wasted, and it made me want to put the game down. Dernier bump le 28 sept. 2025 à 00:34:38

Man I don't know how to tell you this, other than flatly, but that mechanic where all loot already on the map is gone when the zone resets upon your death is a thing for the entire campaign.
It already happens on the tutorial beach, and it continues to happen through the last zone of the interludes. It only stops happening when you get to endgame mapping. |

There seems to be some things about this area that are confusing a lot of players. Personally I did not run into any problems, but I think because I am familiar with the Expedition mechanics, it basically made sense. Other players seem to be confused with a whole range of things. Anything from not understanding the mechanic, to being unhappy with the fail state or thinking it is repeatable, to thinking they have missed a quest reward.
I'm not sure what is causing the confusion for them, but it seems that there are some aspects of it that are unclear. In general I think the quest descriptions in the game are way too lacking on direction. In some cases I think they are so light on, that they have been made to be intentionally vague. It is probably the thing that I think needs the most improvement in the game. |
