Even the streamers say it

If most the streamers are even saying that there are a lot of things that only .1% of the player base will ever experience or engage within think the answer is glaringly obvious why new players dont get into poe 1 or 2 at this point. Who wants to play a game you will never be able to engage with? On top of that the toxic community ggg has fostered in there fan base doesn't help. Wanna ask for help in ingame chat? Lol good luck you will be told how dumb you are if your not just trolled out of chat. Wanna ask what something is worth bc its pretty easy to know gear with a bunch of high tier sought after nods are expensive but cant price anything properly unless you have third party software on the computer. Man you just need a piece of gear and rng is not on your side weell you need 40+ div to get it and your lucky if you even have a single div drop by the time you hit mid tier maps. Well just grind higher tier maps with more juice, so you can die and never progress bc or xp loss and lack of gear, on top of scrappy loot so you feel like your in a infinite loop of not going anywhere

Couple of things
- proof by "authority" - 'streamers' is a horrid argument.
- 0.1% is just 1/1000 - that's exceptionally high

the rarity, myths of greatness, etc are an integral part of the design.

Integral for what so some ppl have a way of inflating there fragile egos? .1% of the player base by the way is not 1 in 1000. That's the base decimal not .1% of the player base two different things

I could argue many of your points but it's just the same things over and over. In the end if you don't like the game, it's better to not play, this game is pretty niche and is more on the hardcore side.

It's a live service game where with a carrot (and/or stick). Pretty much any live service game operates in similar fashion.

0.1% is 1/1000, not sure what you meant then.

PoE1/2/whatever is just means for the developer and publisher to make some money, keep the folks get back for the next season to perhaps experience that promised but unattainable fruit (erm, carrot aint fruit, though). You can pretend it just doesn't exist and play your own game.

Lol ok. Well the devs themselves said they wanted it to bring in new players and your there is only one way for the game to be fun and enjoyable attitude is very contradictory to that statement. I dont like endgame and the way they do progression. And trust me if I could just refund my money and walk away I would.

Of course, that goes with ANY saying, new players = new money. Yet, most players won't complete the 2nd act if anything.

Lol I've got multiple characters in end game 89 is my current lich. Pretty sure most ppl quite at endgame campaigne especially in .3 is not that hard. It's the point of the game where new players stop feeling progression
