Put heavy strike into the game
I think it's time. If you know you know.

+1. I'm wanting to make a strength based strike build currently, but there doesn't seem to be much options beyond the default attack, so I'm using that supplemented with slam skills.

The boneshatter skill is good, but it feels more like a slam skill during campaign with the low density, the attackspeed penalty and conditional AOE.
Default attack is also decent, but from what I can tell you are limited by how many supports you can have for it based on character level. Also having no skill flavour means relying a lot on the skill tree for utility. Armour break is utility, and perfect strike is not a typical strike skill. Sure more options will be added when ready, probably with axes, but currently feels rather restrictive for melee strength builds, other than slam. Boy, you just riled me up. GS/HS permastun main here. Damn right put it in the game. Get rid of that pansy stun bar. I'll micro that boss all the way to the bank.
I'll be subpar in the rankings to play that skill any day. Most fun I had in PoE. Till earthquake made my maces expensive anyway.. |

Currently stun is intended or bugged that you can never one hit stun enemies stronger than magics, and unique bosses take 6 to 18 hits to stun, so heavy strike's stun power will be shitty.

" You're not wrong, technically. But a few dashes of wind blast with the proper supports, and one staggering palm, I stun. Even bosses. Every time. Add freeze and electrocute, bosses aint shit. Don't knock it till they put it in game and it's inevitably trash. Which it will be. |

" Yeah, but I think heavy strike will be a mace skill, quarterstaves attack faster, therefore they stun better than maces because currently only attack speed matters the efficiency on stun. Ask for typical GGG design on maces,I believe Heavy Strike would be 70% attack speed, a bit more damage compared to default attacks, 500% more stun buildup, chance to deal double damage etc. Dernière édition par Trabotrapego#3505, le 23 sept. 2025 à 21:26:58

I laso liked heavy strike in poe1 for a single target damage, but I think default attack is still pretty good and no mana cost/free six slot is an advantage.
