The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
The campaign is still fantastic. Even better now with Act 4 and maybe more importantly without cruel difficulty. I especially like the non-linear nature of it. I think this will make it much more interesting in future playthroughs. The Interludes are not thaaat great, but still enjoyable. I also very much like the Abyssal mechanic. And the loot drops from the Depths specifically have been quite nice for me. Oh and Sprint and Merchant Tabs? Big QoL improvement. Unfortunately loading times also seem to have gone up. Which is particularly annoying with a high number of crashes, freezes and performance drops.
Ok, maybe as a movie fan i got carried away with the title ;-) Endgame isn`t that bad actually. I think it is much better than previous leagues with much more enjoyable activities. Loot drops also seem to have improved. I encountered quite the number of Unique Merchants. Also i think Abyssal plays into the better loot. The change of playstyle from slower combat during campaign to faster combat of endgame is much less jarring. There seems to be better progression now. And i guess it kinda works. I think i got killed less often without a clue what killed me. But it still happens. Especially with level elements (trees, ruins, etc.) obstructing my view and general visual clutter or cramped spaces. Which brings me to the last point. XP Loss still sucks ass. It is tolerable in early endgame but the higher you go the more it incentivizes me to not play the game. I know that some people like it. Which is fine, but they always confuse punishment with challenge. I do not enjoy punishment. Please give me the option to skip this. Make a seperate mode without XP Loss (like Hardcore/SSF). That way everyone can choose to play what they enjoy. Unless this is specifically designed to turn people off the game i just don't get it. And i know that i'm not alone. Now if you'll excuse me: I have to cut this league a bit short. I have a date with Hornet :-D Dernier bump le 20 sept. 2025 à 02:40:50
