Faridun Prince and Crazed Azmeri
The Prince at the end of interlude 2 is too fast for ranger animations, including dodge roll, that during his second phase you can’t shoot him with AOE he zips around out of sight constantly, and suddenly your hit with a random one shot pink laser that reaches way too far. It’s impossible to keep up and know where he is, and then nothing is telegraphed in a way that tells you how to move. The dialogue sometimes does, but by the time you hear that , your own animation of running (I don’t use sprint ever, since that just makes you fall down and act drunk) rolling, shooting, or using a potion makes reactions way too slow for this boss. I’ve tried with stun charms, attack speed buffs, movement speed, even a unique that makes me roll a little further, nothing helps. I’ve tried to get past this boss for 2 hours straight 2 days in a row. I’m also 6 levels over his level. I shouldn’t have to re make my entire build for one boss. The walk at the beginning is too long, especially if we have to do it 100 times in a row. The arena seems too big. I finally gave up and went to interlude 3.
Crazed Azmeri at about half way through the battle just has way too many things going on. Purple spinny things everywhere, last time I tried it there were 6, covering every open space, then with added 2 spirit animals attacking all at once, that my series X Xbox was a complete blur of pixels everywhere, until what finally killed me was her poison attack that doesn’t even get the chance to render before it kills me. I tried this one for over an hour, it was the same every time. I gave up… Gee it sure would be nice to actually get to end game at least once, as a casual player, with the gear you find in the game, not buying it. I’ve played 15 different characters, (maybe more, I’ve lost count) since the game came out, and even tho I’ve always been able to complete normal content, it’s always a boss that is way harder than anything else in that level, and I have to just give up, because it’s no longer fun. This latest patch has been great, and fun, and worth the time it takes to get thru it because it all feels better, and balanced. Until the second interlude… which also feels a little unfinished, as one camp doesn’t even have a salvage table. I can see pushing it this hard in end game, but the campaign should at least be able to be completed by the casual gamer who just wants to play with the drops and craft strategy that happen naturally.
