Minion and Spectre Feedback
I am currently using an infernalist with multiple skeletal minions (no frozen mandibles). I think the balance and design of the minions are good in 0.3. I am able to do most content (haven't done arbiter or simulacrum level 2 and higher yet) with reasonably priced gear and I do not have to chase maximizing all avenues of +minion skills. I am very happy with the state of minions so far and hope things continue to get even better from here.

Id say its bad. Its fine for you to the skeletons, but i think its bad that there are 2 of 100+ useable spectres. long way to go still

" There's like 3 Spectres people use in POE1, for years on end. I'm not saying it should stay that way, but I am saying nobody should be surprised that 99% of spectres aren't great. So long as there's at least a few who are good, and some which are 'usable' which is where we are right now, I'm definitely happy with that. Stopping temp minions from despawning so aggressively and making an Ascendancy that's actually useful for a minion build would be much higher priorities as the ascendancy options right now are really lackluster. People talk about "not pigeonholing" you with ascendancies but I'm pigeonholed into picking an ascendancy that i have no interest in, which is currently all of them. |

I agree with you that there are not much in terms of variety of options for spectres to be the main damage dealers currently. I have played around with spectres and a lot of them play a great role as supporting minions to apply status effects or ailments that are not available with the skeletal minions. I currently added on the melee version of the shock zealots that have the extended lightning melee attack to my front line and it has been a really good addition to my group (I currently have 8 types of minions in my line-up).
