My Biggest Issues with the game so far
Just started playing with the release of the Third Edict Patch and I've had a decent time so far. Made it to lvl 75 on my Sorceress so I have a good feel for how the game plays now and how it all works. I played all of the Diablos prior to this, the first POE and Torchlight and I would say this one ranks highly. But like anything there's always room for improvement and there are definitely some issues I would like to bring up.
1. Uniques are extremely weak in this game for some reason. I see only a handful of them being used out of the 100s that exist and it's because their Unique effect is too strong to pass up. It really is disappointing because the designs on them look great, far better than standard gear but the stats are so low that you would be shooting yourself in the foot using them. A lot of the unique effects look cool too and I would love to be able to try them but it's not worth it. They're not even on par with rares about 95% of time yet they're a higher tier item with lower drop rates. Make it make sense. The obvious and simplest solution is to make the stats in line with rare items. Give them all the modification capabilities of the lower tier items with the orbs and everything else. Then you would see a lot more people using them, they would be worth more than 5 augmentation orbs on the market and people wouldn't be throwing them on the ground like a piece of garbage. 2. Give us a slider to shrink the UI and a way to increase FOV or zoom the camera out further. Between the massive UI blocking my vision and the insane clutter and vfx that covers the screen in every engagement, It's impossible to be able react sometimes and act accordingly. There are times when I'm in a boss fight dodging AOEs at a distance and I can't even target the boss because the UI is in the way. I can't tell you how many times I've been barraged by a pack of elite mobs or a boss with ranged attacks off screen and I had 0 opportunity to avoid it. If they can target me from that Distance, I should be able to see them at the very least. 3. There should be a transmog system for everyone not just people that bought skins from your cash shop. It's frustrating that I am forced to look the same as I did when I was a low level and I'm stuck with certain items just because the stats are good. Please let us use the aesthetic of items we own or have earned while continuing to use the ugly armor piece with good stats. There's some other stuff that seems broken related to skills and support gems but I will sum that up to it being Early Access. most uniques are design for leveling new char (and some are usefull in late with theorycrafting build)
The FOV won't change. I don't know if it's related to a technical issue (more FOV = worst perfs) or only about design philosophy. |

I've heard the X won't change argument before yet here we are, with a functional trade system. Hopefully we keep going. Completely agree with OP,btw. Less than 1% functional uniques late game is atrocious. The "leveling" uniques are also just cope there's like 12 being used for that too, leaving us with hundreds upon hundreds of chance shards with extra steps.

OP, you're discussing all the things that make them money, as if they need to fix them. They did all the things you mentioned above to lure you into the cosmetics store, and I think that's understandable from a business perspective. They pay real people to print cosmetics so they can support their families, simple as that. Uniques have better 3D designs, not because they're powerful, but because they want you to go to the cosmetics store and buy a skin changer pack so they can make some money to pay their employees.
This is how I personally understand what's happening, and I don't see a problem here unless you have the tools to end slavery globally and say we don't need to pay employees; we'll just live and play all day. Neden yaşıyorsun?

I've leveled 3 characters to 60+ so far in this league and I think I used 2 uniques for maybe 6 or 7 level ups with one of them in early game. After that they got replaced by a random rare, which was sufficient for a smooth experience. |

1. Uniques are just for the "oh look, I wonder what that does". Rares should almost always be better options.
2. Don't agree with wider FOV, more zoom out though would be super nice. 3. Transmogs shouldn't matter, they don't do anything. Pay money if you want to look nice and support the game doing so. If it's not worth it to you, then you don't really care about transmogs? |

Which is just better no matter what So for me personally I think uniques should occupy the endgame space more than anything mid or early. Mash the clean

Amazing how you can make a post providing feedback that would genuinely improve the game for all players yet you still have these fanboys/cultists against it. "No, Uniques don't need to change, we like them being unusable worthless items and the devs need to make as much money as possible". Seriously?? They make plenty of money as it is between charging for early access, Supporter packs, the over the top cosmetics and inventory pages. How does balancing Uniques effect any of that? Everyone can use them, cash shop players AND FTPers. Just say you're against any change whatsoever because the game and developers that you worship are perfect the way they are and they can do no wrong.

There are endgame uniques too, just they cost couple divines each so you dont use it till you are ready for it. They do provide significant buffs but they are also for specific builds. I think word unique causes to much confusion here mixing it with diablo 2 uniques that vere just upgrade for every class like ring of jordan or mara kaleidoskop. Maybe they should change the wording and use something like "synergy" items instead of "unique" items.

I said what I understand from this situation. %100 want to see an endgame system which is built around uniques instead of some nerd boys playing 18 hours a day and crafting some rares to dominate the entire game economy which is absolutely hilarious.
