is Sound performance the root of 0.3 perf issue?

Playing on pc with 2060S, not the best but ok with 0.2 on some low configuration. But in 0.3 every time you approach abyssal it's just like your speakers are about to explode, fps drops significantly and the murmurs are not only performance issue, and also disturbing the ears. Changing audio channel count to medium ease the problem, but not completely solved.

This just recall the 0.1 flame effect performance, seemed that every spark of flame were different independent effect, and after patches those were fixed. Maybe the sound issue is the same? too many independent sound sources? Hope this get fixed in 0.3, really not comfortable to go all the way with this through 0.4.

My sound goes crazy glitchy as well in some areas, performance drops as well. Playing in a good PC. This only happens in PoE2, every other game runs fine. Guess they need to optimize.

Switching the settings to low drastically improved my PC’s performance. It sometimes feels a bit "empty" but that’s still better than dealing with stuttering and FPS drops.
The sound is often awful to the point that I'll just turn it off, leading to deaths because the queues are quite necessary.
I always play with lowest count of sound channels. Was one root of poor performance from the beginning.
Sounds, shaders and other random assests are 100% where most of the performance issues stem from. Just sad that they couldnt get these properly compressed and optimized within the timeframe of 0.3. And honestly its been the only thing keeping the league from getting higher than a 8/10 from me. Even if they fix these issues (which they most definitely should do as soon as possible), its too late for 0.3. The least they can do is have those issues fixed for 0.4 where itll mean even more because its the slated "ENDGAME" update. Solid league outside performance.
