Ps5 cache

What would the game be doing in the ps5 cache to cause network lag? It's random spikes 5 to 10 secs apart. I can clear the cache, which is a total pain the ass, and no lag whatsoever. But after playing this for awhile yesterday after clearing cache, then some madden last night, the cache is buggered again. I am not clearing cache to play. Had this ps5 4 or 5 years and never had a game require me to clear cache.
