sekhemas trial design sucked

these rare enemies are a huge problem in and out of the trial. their moves are stronger and more difficult to dodge than most bosses.
up until boss is pretty easy but takes ages. then get to the boss and the game just sent a super fucking tanky spongy boss that spawn explosives all over the map and I am fucked from getting hit by all those tiny sparks that didn't even damage me much, constantly spamming aoe and taking ages to chew through that hp bar.

this is fucking fucking awful.

Trial design is atrocious currently, close to unplayable. It is not fun, it is not entertaining, it is not challenging, because it is RNG dependent. The bosses may be learnt, but random rare mobs can end the run, hitting you behind walls, or spawning with random bulsh*t mod you can do nothing about (hello Proximal Tangibility on AOE mob, have fun finding out where you can hit and whether you have 2k honour to lose trying).

Removing honour system will help to make it tolerable, but it is still unfun. And locking behind it player power that is expected to have at certain level is even worse.

I understand the game is about luck - (1) being lucky to get the item to access the trial, (2) being lucky with EVERY SINGLE ROOM not being overlapping fire traps, (3) being lucky with EVERY SINGLE RARE not being run ender, (4) being lucky with the boons (if any at all) and afflictions - but this is somewhat mandatory to complete and there is not efficient way to learn it, but hoping to get a drop every now and than and trying to do it. And after hour and a half you get fu*k all because you lagged for five seconds.

Oh, and melee - well F you, don't play melee or don't bother with your ascendancy.

I wonder if GGG has data on how many people repeat the trail after they obtain their ascendancy? I bet they are not many.
Yea no, players will just have to learn if they are struggling with Sekhemas at this point. Its beyond easy now.

Did my 3rd ascendancy 6 levels below and did my 4th ascendancy 5 levels below as a 1h warrior.

So anyone thinking "melee has trouble" is just flat out wrong.

Simply do chaos if you are unable to do Sekhemas.

Or buy a carry.

(1) being lucky to get the item to access the trial

Play with any regularity and you will have dozens upon dozens of unused Baryas and Ultimatums by the end of the league. There are also Atlas passives to increase their drop rate. You can also acquire them on the marketplace.

"
(2) being lucky with EVERY SINGLE ROOM not being overlapping fire traps

Every single trap in every single configuration is 100% avoidable. Take your time and watch the patterns - there aren't many. There are also relics and boons which you can acquire to influence trap speed and damage if you really need the extra help, but you really shouldn't. Just don't rush.

"
(3) being lucky with EVERY SINGLE RARE not being run ender

This just seems like basic gameplay mechanics at this point -- there are just no rare mobs that should ever be a "run ender."

"
(4) being lucky with the boons (if any at all)

Okay, dude. What are you actually talking about at this point? If any at all? There's absolutely no excuse for ever ending a trial run without several boons.

Are you collecting sacred water? Are you hitting merchants? Are you using relics to peek ahead at extra rooms so you can go for boons and avoid afflictions? Are you engaging with any of the mechanics that the game makes available to you??

Here's how I ended my last run. This is a typical run. Like you are just doing it wrong...

I don't know about those, but I got disconnected twice, then I got hit by a white arbaletist for 450 honor twice which ended my run. As a SSF person, this made it extremely unfun to run. It felt tedious and time wasting. I'm glad you are an expert on the trial, but for me it felt generally not a pleasant experience.
I dont see how they can change sekhemas that much more.
Its alredy incredibly easy and it gives you so many options to impact the difficulty.

Just get your honor resistance and figure out that the vendor sells buffs.
