What's your feedback on infusions and archon?
Infusions:
Spells should be that powerful WITHOUT infusions, infusions just added bloat and annoyance. Having to pick up infusions feeds terrible on a ranged class. You have to run into melee range otherwise your damage is nerfed severely. Who wants to invest 10-20 skill points into infusion nodes? Not me. Limits build variety. Only certain skills generate infusions. Only certain skills consume infusions. This is bad. You're essentially forcing builds and limiting builds instead of leaving things wide open. Casters often have to cycle tons of skills.. now on top of it you have to run around picking up orbs? zzz Archon: Fire and lightning seem functional. Cold only activates on energy shield recharge, and on top if that being a terrible activation method, it can't be forced with monks meditate ascendancy.. Archon has potential if activation is fixed for cold. Infusions are cool in concept, but in game really don't feel nice to generate or collect. Also the skill limitations make it very badly implimented. Only way to fix infusions is to automatically have them, no more pick up. And also allow any skills to either generate or consume infusions. I was struggling until I found the passive that randomizes the infusions.
Which basically means that by just being able to get one infusion consistently, I get all the types of infusions periodically. Then I made it cast an orb on ailment. Which guarantees an infusion after 3 or 5 ailments. I am getting my spells infused constantly. And it's so far literally the only passive point I spent on infusions. I don't treat Ice Archon as something that I can reliably trigger,. But it's more of a bonus that happens usually. That said, I am pretty sure I can force it to trigger by swapping weapons one or 3 times. |

Ye, agreed.
Spells should be buffed by like 50% baseline. Infusions should feel like a cherry on top, not a mandatory thing. I feel like I need more ways to generate Infusions. Don't get me wrong, it is possible to automate their generation even now, but the only class which can do that comfortably is Blood Mage. That's not good. Archons as a concept are great. I completely agree with @vexorian#9572, it just doesn't make any sense that Cold Archon procs only when you start recharging your ES. Archons should require less investment, right now they are not worth it. Downtimes are crucial and fixing that requires too much points and maybe even the Abyss weapon suffix. Downtimes should be bypass-able, because even with no downtimes it would be debatable if you should just invest into crit or into Archons. EVEN WITH NO DOWNTIMES. The current implementation is dead on arrival. Spells still feel like they receive much less love compared to attacks. GGG, at least make Heralds work on spells, it shouldn't be that hard. Imagine Spark with Herald of Ice. Would be so satisfying! That's what I'm missing the most: some good on-kill effects. It is insanely boring to just run around casting Spark without any effects. Somehow some attacks feels MORE like Spells than the actual Spells. Dernière édition par grynnder#7112, le 19 sept. 2025 à 22:18:56

Fire and Cold Archons are garbage for the pure fact that they negate the extra damage bonus from Archmage and any other source of extra damage that is not the same elemental type as your choice of archon.
The amount of passives points you waste on these buffs just to get less damage than Archmage and at a ~60% uptime is ridiculous. For a cold spell build, infusions don't feel like they're worth building for. Too many passive points, spirit, and skill slots just to make Frost Nova feel okay; to think that this was the payoff for multiple other spells getting butchered... The only worthwhile infusions passives are EE or Stormweaver's Refracted Infusion since you can trivialize generation by spamming Orb of Storms or Lightning Warp and converting them; that or you just ignore infusions altogether and use Frostbolt. I tried to make a fire infernalist archon build. It actually does good things while i am able to stay in archon form. But even with dedicated itemization archon uptime is not good enough. I dont know if there is a way to make it 90+% uptime, if there is i havent figured it out.
Spells definetly dont scale well in the endgame. This season every single spell build revolves around Atalui lineage gem, which turns your damage to physical. I am thinking Atack skills scaling of Flat damage modifiers from items might be the main reason for this. Spells dont have that type of scaling from items. |
