Hulking Minions gem not granting 20% damage increase with Inspiring Ally

The tooltip fails to update on damage gems if you have the Inspiring Ally passive (grants damage buffs on minions to you) and use use Hulking Minions gem. We can see that the size of the companion is increased, and they receive the 20% damage buff, but it doesn't transfer to us as it should.
