Stuck in The Viridian Wildwood

I am stuck in The Viridian Wildwood map. I was clearing and there was a yellow completely in the "black" area of the map. My minions killed it and I tried to pick up the loot. The black area didn't disperse like usual. It slowed me down like I was walking into mud. Then I was ported to a boss room(?). Where I saw a checkpoint, my portal, and an exit that wouldn't let me go through or provide anything to click on. I am still in the map as I see the last 2 yellow's I didn't get a chance to kill.

I just looked on the atlas and it says my map is complete. So that's good at least.

same - guess I'll have to skip elthe extra content (map completed)

Same here. No idea how but map is completed without extra content as some rares are still alive but unreachable because of the black fog that teleports to a room now.

Nice! Is there an UI indicator that shows how long it takes until the illumination runs out? Is it random or tied to certain player actions?

As you move, the circle of light around you becomes smaller. Standing or moving in an already explored area does not consume light.
