Shrike Island Trigger - trypophobia

Hi there,

I have 2249hrs on poe1 and 158hr on poe2. I didnt really click with s1 or s2 of poe2. However, s3 I actually was enjoying the game and could see myself playing more than i had in s1 and s2. That being said. I was extremely distressed when I entered Shrike Island as I suffer from trypophobia. There were minor triggers before but they were manageabele. Like the textures in a cave, but i could still play the game.

The textures in Shrike island (the circles with more circles in them, eggs in nests?) made me feel so uncomfortable, that I had to step away from my pc and have my partner do that zone for me. Then later when I got to maps I am scared I will encounter these visuals again.

I understand your devs worked very hard on the zone and the game itself is very beautiful and visually pleasing. I was just wondering if you guys could enable a trypophobia mode that substitutes the visuals in question into something that isnt a trigger. Idk like cat faces or teacups, anything that isnt like what they currently look like for those with trypophobia.

All that being said, I enjoyed playing with new crafting system, though got bored of towers when it comes to juicing end game content. So I am afraid It will be POE 1 to scratch that ARPG itch for me, which also doesnt induce trypophobia. I will be back in a few leagues time when there are more changes to endgame and maybe fixes for my trypophobia trigger :<

oh thank god I'm not alone. I would like to second this. I had a really hard time with Shrike Island. had to ask a friend to carry me so I could just look at the minimap. those nest textures were extremely disgusting for me and made my skin crawl

Omg this zone is horrible, I've loved every other area of act4 until I reached this area, I feel physically sick walking around here. I don't actually think I will be able to complete it

And what next? Arachnophobia mod for turnig off all spiders? Aquaphobia mod for removing all water? Claustrophobia mod for replacing all tight corridors with open spaces?

i don't think its too much to ask for them to slightly change some art to only improve other peoples enjoyment of the game?
Is that not their jobs lol

Tell that to my body starting to itch and feeling queezy. We are not requiring a change, we are giving feedback that this is happening.

Could just be a small mesh change to not have the unnatural hole nature of the nests.
