I am crying at PoE2 Endgame
Understand that this is just feedback, so please just take this as my opinion.
I don't know why but I honestly find the PoE2 endgame too tedious and arbitrary. I hate zooming out the infinitely running atlas knowing that each map I complete, adds another burden to the size of the atlas. The atlas now comprising of both completed and uncompleted zones. Just trying to seek out the citadels and zooming in and out different regions trying to remember all the different areas which were set up previously is just filled with so much friction that just bring out all the frustration in me I never knew existed. Please, take this vote and please change the endgame. There is too much work trying to setup the endgame mapping, can't we just alch and go. It's like we put in effort in rolling the maps, hoping to blast, and no. We just get gated again before we slot in our map and now we gotta set it all up again with the tablets and the towers and choosing which map is best to use at which slot. Is it just me? or is PoE2 endgame just so tedious? Shucks man the endgame is just killing me slowly.. Dernier bump le 23 août 2025 à 11:48:11

I agree on the point that the map growing and becoming a headache to manage.
One of the worst aspects of it is trying to come back after not playing for a while. I tried playing again after a while away but pretty much table flipped the idea when I opened my atlas and tried to figure out where I should go and what I had set up and should still clear or not etc. There's probably people out there that have no issue at all with this but I sure do. PoE 1 is way easier in this aspect, one map screen, you can see all maps, you know what maps there are, nothing you have to consider on the map that changes what you run etc. Faster and less headache to get into and to get back into. its bad and unfun and has been for 9 months, they will keep trying to improve the current system but i feel like its not going to change that much fundamentally.
Wish they'd just delete infinite atlas or give us an alternative with a classic map sytem | |
The current map system is terrible. The AI map is generic. It needs to be a real map with clear objectives, goals and an ultimate showdown. It should have familiar places and faces.

" Yup, even though the concept of exploring is good in itself, the way it's currently done is very poorly executed and agravated by the tower system. Personally, id rather have a FINITE world map that is created by RNG and there needs to be way way way more different stuff because, it's simply a false idea of exploring as it currently stands. If the world map is large, the content of the world map should not be the same stuff all over again. I personally get bored very fast and see no point in exploring because what you will discover will be something you already have discovered before... Smaller finite world for me is better but it should still be big and there should be a way to regenerate and reset the world map at anytime you wish by interacting with an NPC. And yeah of course if you do so, the very good stuff should be out of reach for a little while on the world map until you reach it again in order to prevent constant resetting to farm very good spots too fast. |

Endgame for me is hours in PoB and then hours on Trade to make happen of what I made in PoB.

I'm just happy they explicitly addressed our pain in the interview. Even though updates couldn't make it in 0.3, I'm cautiously optimistic they'll be able to follow through and update it on 0.4. This league may be for running a bunch of new classes instead of grinding the endgame for me. We'll see.
As long as the tedium of towers and juicing are improved in 0.4 I'll at least attempt to stomach the endgame... Though so far I have to say, I haven't found a single positive aspect of the infinite atlas for me personally. Trying to stay optimistic they'll make it interesting... But so far their idea of making it interesting is... just not for me. So far when I see a unique map or citadel, i don't really get excited, I get annoyed by how much I'll have to path to get there. I started ignoring unique maps because it just wasn't worth the tedium. Now they're adding unique maps in water that you have to clear the maps around it just to find the entrance. It seems like they're kind of doubling down on everything that makes the infinite atlas tedious and un-fun. Holding out hope for 0.4, and I'll probably keep playing anyways because I'm addicted. But really hoping for extremely drastic endgame changes. |

" I had this idea where you run a tower and it generates an atlas region based on your choices/actions in the tower. obviously tablets are a thing, but there should be more ways to influence for biome etc. you need to complete a minimum number of nodes to run another tower and generate another atlas. but you'd be free to travel to any node within that region with citadels and other special nodes having pre-requisite nodes that need completing before you could access. so you'd just smash out a tower and then have, hopefully, a satisfying session of gaming ahead of you. |

" I do not like the endgame of ANY ARPG. Repeatable maps/ dungeons/ whatever are inherently boring for me. The game amkes sense only in the campaign for me. I simply cannot play a game and have fun when the target is the character. I playa game for a story and a completion.. the character is just a tool to achieve that. |

They keep band-aiding a system that is broken at its core. My hope is that the little effort they are putting into their endgame is a sign they have a team secretly working on a replacement system. I don't think I'll be back to this game until I see a hype video about scrapping the entire endgame and replacing it with a decent idea.
