Druid Female Class

I messaged GGG back in January or February, suggesting Druid be a female class for a lot of reasons.

Mainly because it looks like if not, then we have 4 female classes and 8 male classes.

But also.... if Druid is female then we can all be Cat Girls :)

I really hope GGG listened and does this, if not I will be incredibly disappointed.

We find out soon, mere weeks away from the rumored Druid release.

Years back, when PoE 2 was going to be an expansion of PoE, and not a separate game, GGG announced that one of the new Ranger ascendancies was going to be an exclusive werecat form, wholly independent of the Druid class. I have searched for the video where they show the ascendancy mockup, but it seems to be gone. ='[.]'=

I want to second the suggestion, but I also want to oppose the motivation being purely to fetishise female characters even more than they are in games.

I would support the Druid class being female to be different from the Diablo franchise as the main motivation.

Heck, the new D&D movie has a female Druid.

The game director has commented on reddit that they may do microtransactions which swap your entire character out for a different one, with voice acting for it. He said that if they do that, they could then do alternate gender versions of all the classes "since that is something that I think quite a lot of players would like to have."

There is a chance we'll see the first version of that in the upcoming patch, as the 0.2.1 patch "Added support for a new type of Microtransaction: Character Skin."

The artwork for Beastmaster showed up in the 2023 ExileCon press kit so it's possibly still on the table, though I would imagine it's for Huntress now.

Who wants to play as a warrior of death? Or a otherworldly incarnation of destruction when you can play as THE CRAZY CAT LADY!?

I'm not sure why this even matters.
I've leveled a sorceress and two monks and the only thing thats ever crossed my mind about them is how well they can kick ass.

I would really love a female druid! And that ranger werecat thing looks great! I hope they haven't ditched that idea. I don't really enjoy playing male characters. So I would appreciate getting female versions for all male classes.

Mmmm.... If GGG planning to make a druid as female... Will we get a three savage huntresses with a same 3d model?
