Staying frozen

When I open some boxes that are "frozen", I stay frozen. If I die, when I return to the checkpoint, I'm still frozen. My charm is supposed to give me immunity to Freeze, but it doesn't sometimes.

Again, I am standing at the checkpoint and still frozen upon reviving. No monsters, nothing. Just standing here frozen. I can't portal out either. Charm not working as intended.
