Vaal Skills: Question to PoE1 Players

I war reading things about lore and in Vaal section there is a notion about Vaal Skill gems that are more powerful and fueled by souls of sacrificed people.

Are these availible in game? Are they different to just corrupted gear?
If i were to decide playing PoE1 do u have any suggestion on class and skills?

And quetion about PoE2. Do you think they are coming to poe2? That is, if those are different from corrupted gems.

They are available in-game in POE 1 yes, not in POE 2, not now anyway.
Yes, they are different from corrupted gear/gems.
It's been a while since i played POE 1, but if i recall correctly, vaal skills were generally more powerful versions of a normal skill but had a limited but replenishable amount of uses. Not every skill had a vaal skill version.
A vaal skill could for example unleash a particularly devastating AOE version of the effect provided by the non-vaal version of that skill.
I can only guess as to whether they will come to POE 2 later on as i don't have GGG's inside knowledge. Maybe ? They already added vaal orbs, so there's always the possibility vaal skills will get created for POE2 too, but we'll need to wait and see to be sure.

Wanted to add that a vaal skill gem provides 2 skills, the normal regular skill gem version + the extra vaal version.

Eg, the skill gem Vaal Haste will allow you to have normal haste aura active at all times. It also lets you use Vaal Haste which gives an even greater boost to haste for a period of time, then it needs to recharge on souls.
