Concerned About POE2 1.0 Release Timeframe

So glad the GGG is settling in with POE and POE2 progress but unless I'm missing something, POE2 0.3 doesn't hit til end of August, that means 0.4 hits... next Spring? Then 0.5 next Autumn? 1.0 wouldn't hit until 2027 at least. I know POE2 needs some work but I though the EA period was supposed to be 12-18 months, not 24-36.

afaik game version don't need to follow the decimal system. meaning 0.3 can go directly to 1.0, but on the flip side we can have 0.69 before 1.0, which would make the 1.0 release date somewhere in 2047.
I know you are semi-joking here but so far it's been 0.1, 0.2 and now 0.3 announced so not sure why they'd break the flow. Just sucks as that puts us out years for 1.0
i wont be worried about that, i would be more worried about them rushing things, which might be the case here.

Yup, even if they were following it it would just go: 0.8, 0.9, 0.10, 0.11.

It's just counting in increments. imagine if they made next patch 0.7 or something.
"Beidat honored the pact, though Mancy wouldn't take off Doryani’s prototype."
My main concern here is that they rush content to get to 1.0 or to fit it into the next league. Or just copy PoE 1 content to PoE 2 to quickly add more content like league mechanics instead of investing the time to create something new for PoE 2.
How could we be worried about rushing 1.0 when they haven't even released 0.3 yet? I don't want a rushed mess either but we are going to be a year into EA and only at... 0.3 still. That's very concerning.

I don't want to replay the game every 0.1 increment and be sick of it by the time 1.0 rolls around. I also don't want to wait years for 1.0 when they said around 12 months of EA.
I'm more concerned about them keeping their 4 month release cycle. They've said they're going to release POE1 and POE2 content every 4 months for each game (so a new POE1 or POE2 league will come out every 2 months).

They need to keep this schedule. I don't care if we don't get the campaign for 0.3, as long as 0.3 arrives 3 weeks from now.

That's what I mean though. I think they have bitten off more than they can chew. I don't see POE2 1.0 coming until 2027 now and that sucks.
We should be slightly worried. This game has been in development for like 7-8 years.

Starting as "Massive expansion", PoE 4.0, to PoE 2 at Exilecon 2019 (right after Blizzard announced Diablo 4), as shared world with PoE1 with new classes and campaign, but shard end game. To standalone game parallel with PoE and promised the will continue support both games, and MTX from POE 1 will transfer over. Release date delay at least 2 years before announcing its release, sorry Early access.

The EA that suppose to last 6 months to max a year. AT least that's what many include me think.

I got into the EA (free due to spent over 500bucks) thinking its was just to polish a few bugs and balancing some skills before releasing in a few months time.

In fairness the game is decent as far as EA goes with complete classes and functional end game. But it is clearly taking much more than they can eat at Chinese buffet, evidence by the length teh game is in development and pace to rollout update and also balance support for PoE1.

They will get there for sure, in end 2026 maybe.
