Caster weapon itemization is bad
- Spell damage is additive with the tree and falls off a cliff past level 20.
- Cast speed can be acquired on jewellery so it gets needlessly diminished. - Crit might not even do anything if you don't go crit. Remaining is +level, which operates in a way that excludes other +skills from rolling on your weapon. This is very much unlike attack-based weapons, where you're fishing for synergy. There's this obsession with making the tree multiplicative, meanwhile weapon itemization is MOSTLY just more of the same as you get on the tree. If the non +skill mods were multiplicative, they'd be very competitive and promote choice. Besides, leveling most caster builds feels miserable (outside of EA-oopsies) compared to melee, so a buff is warranted.
