My biggest issue with POE 2
So maybe I'll go into the details of the title, I loved the gameplay, love the feel and don't mind the lowered drops and whatnot. My biggest issue is the terribly design endgame loop, that forces a player to run empty maps until they find the towers and then put the tablets in, so they can get some maps with juice. It's a chore, It's not fun, It's not engaging, It's exactly the opposite.
I don't want to 1/3 of my time setting up maps, I'd rather have something similar to POE 1 where I can just buy the juice for maps from other players or farm It myself, to sell to other players. This endgame gameplay loop is very off-putting and I would go as for as to say that POE 1 is more casual friendly than poe2 is purely because of the time-sink endgame loop. I remember in 0.1 We started out solo, made currency, bought gear for party play, farmed like crazy and separated after splitting the profits. Did I play way-stones(maps) Nope? Did I enjoy the mapping itself(Yeah) Was I doing the glorified sanctum mechanic over and over again to avoid the terrible way-stones design? Yes I was. It's kind of sad because the game could be really, really good, I assume the design team already heard whatever is in this post a thousand time and It won't change, they assume the endgame will fix itself with addition of new content and so on, but I think It's the opposite. The longer you go like this, the worse It will get. I can't imagine how they want to balance the end-game with addition of new mechanics and the current end-game map table. I don't regret the time I spent in POE 2 because I did have fun most of the time I spent in-game, but I do regret the time I spent GIVING the map-device a chance. If you're a more serious player, don't play alone, go play in a party, have one person on rotation responsible for setting up their map device, and swap between leagues on how's responsible. That way you'll actually enjoy the endgame mechanic without the need of feeling like you're a slave to a badly designed system. As for the responses, please share your ideas and feedback and your ideas for improvement of the current end-game system. Dernier bump le 28 juin 2025 à 15:55:14
