Farrul's Rune Of The Hunt compare to Iron Rune

Hi. I have a question regarding how the 'Farrul's Rune Of The Hunt' works compared to the 'Iron Rune'.
Iron Rune increases the base damage of the weapon it’s socketed into... is that also the case with Farrul’s Rune of the Hunt?

Physical.

If a weapon is elemental based and/or not with high base physical dps (like more projectile bows with added damages) then the new rune is going to be more desirable right?

i dont ask about kind of DMG... but about "place" where it increase DMG.

Does it increase weapon damage which is then further multiplied by the skill and node multipliers, or is it added to the multipliers from skills and nodes?
Does Farrul's Rune actually work?
I killed a T-4 Xesht and didn't notice a 100% damage increase after replacing 2 iron runes with Farrul

I didn't notice any damage increase at all. I play as a mercenary with grenades.

I dont see a difference either. My damage is converted from phys. to light. so maybe losing that %25 is too much for me even if i do %50 increased damage against rare or uniques?

Indeed its buged. Most of them don't work properly but with no training dummy is impossible to test skills and gems.
Trying to find out if it actually works on map bosses - it feels like it, but I replaced my 1-60 lightning socket with Farrul's Rune of the Hunt. Not sure if this was a good a choice now :D
I think because its conditional on the state of the target its an additive multiplier grouped with all the other +increases from passive tree and wont ever be reflected in the skills dps estimate in game.

so not like the iron rune.

Im assuming.

No worries. It definitely works.
And Farrul's Rune Of The Hunt increases your attack damage, which i believe is calculated as the averaged base damage of your weapon, supplemented with values rolled for any added dmg to attacks modifiers, then conversions, gains, increases/reductions and some more hoopla like crit and skill dmg multipliers.

And IF i recall correctly, i believe it is taken into account in the dps numbers as SOME conditional dmg is (not all though), but you'll only notice it at the time you're actually damaging a rare or unique enemy since the dmg number updates dynamically. So to verify, you'll need to keep the detailed DPS sheet for that skill open
