fulminating concoction and herald of thunder

I thought these were a no brainer pair for a pathfinder build but when i tried using it earlier today herald of thunder is limited to martial weapons which locks out any of the concoction skills as you switch to unarmed to use it. I don't know if this is an oversight or done on purpose but it really limits what you can do with the concoctions.
