Vaal orbs are bad

I lost both good upgrades after using them.
I know I should know better but I really want to be able to progress and its jsut so demoralizing.

Ifni had jsut left the items alon I'd have been able to upgrade a little instead 9fngoing back to mindlessly grind in the hopes for another base.

I know I'll just be told to get gud either directly or in a round about way.
And to that I say, those folks are the reson we get bad game design.
