Speccing into Strongboxes - Thoughts?

So I've asked this before, but I like to keep on top of the subject after patches and such.

How do you guys feel about speccing your atlas into more Strongbox nodes? I definitely see an increased amount in my chosen strongbox (Researcher's), while a marked decrease in the amount of uniques found. But I HAVE found a unique while specced into "High-Value Thefts", the node that gives "Strongboxes in your Maps 60% chance to be Rare/Strongboxes in your Maps have 30% chance to be Unique". However, I've only found one unique in over 50 maps.

This could be poor RNG, but I find it very odd that my RNG plummets whenever I try to spec into strongboxes. And yet, I keep trying because I love strongboxes so much, especially with the recent changes making it so much easier to upgrade them. So I'm rounding into 300+ maps with a single unique.

Anyone have similar experiences? Anyone have the complete OPPOSITE experience? Thanks! ^_^/

I have specced my atlas tree into strongboxes. My anecdotal observation is that i get way more unique strongboxes in unjuiced empty maps than in juiced maps.
