Sunder and leap slam unable to break armor as a Warbringer

I was playing around with a build idea and noticed that both sunder and leap slam could not break enemy armor, even with the Warbringer ascendancy for 10% armor break. I made sure I wasn't using any support gems that helped to break armor but also said "cannot consume fully broken armor" or other text that would conflict with the "consume fully broken armor" built into Sundar and Leap Slam. And no text on Sunder nor Leap Slam would suggest they couldn't break armor in addition to being able to consume it.
