something with the game balance atm is just fucked, and the player numbers kind of reflect that
like, yeah making this harder is pog, but how tf u make things so much harder while it becoming less rewarding and more punishing like :WAT: im playin one of the most broken builds in the game atm and i still die to some random bs so often and most of those cases i prolly had like a 0.001% chance of preventing it and like all my deaths are like that.. when running juiced content (my whole rant is about juiced content btw) like something with the balance is mad off i just feel punished, i dont even feel rewarded with clearing a hard fight, cuz i feel like i had to cheese it to win i had fun the first two weeks of 0.2, then it started to settle in, i barely find citadels, im playing a bleedmage LS and either i run content thats piss easy or stuff that COULD reward but i end up dying to THE MOST random bs, same goes for citadel bosses.... like yeah the game needs to be hard... but it also should feel rewarding AND it should be so that more than 2-3 builds are viable for the hardest content, unless its some weird challenge type content but most of the endgame stuff should be approachable with way more builds than it is right now..... i think im putting the game off for atleast 0.3, i just havent enjoyed myself since the early days of the patch, even with all the good chances.... PLEASE GGG KEEP THE GAME CHALLENGING BUT GIVE US WAY MORE BUILD VIABILITY IN TACKLING ALL THAT HARD CONTENT i shouldnt be only running maps that dont challenge me at all or ones that fuck me up within nanoseconds oh and, feels like 80-90% of my waystones get the worst mods... temp chains, monsters 25% ele pen or 60% less all recovery rates... its super annoying, theres many other mods that are still really challenging without making waystones just trash... /endrant Dernier bump le 15 mai 2025 à 10:52:18

The numbers reflect the normal drop off that has happened a month or two after a new league/major update. Theres literally a 10+ year history of this to compare against.
So not sure what you're insinuating with that refrence, but guessing it's "everyone quit because of the thing I care about." Poe is all about knowing how to juice. I agree to an extend, since 0.2 juiced maps have become a lot more difficult and I had to settle at my current level for the moment which is not a huge deal to me since I was doing that in PoE1 as well.
IMO they should unnerf Acrobatic or Wind Dancer and introduce new defensive capabilities in the game. That or they should consider reducing the base damage across the board so that things stop hitting for 1.5-2k+ at max (75%) resist with ~2.5K HP pools BEFORE any juices injected into the map...so imagine when "increased monster damage by 40%" is there, ouch. Anyway, baseline damage is extremely high in T10+ maps, they should take a look. Tech guy
