First time crash loses inventory and map completion

Was playing Alpine Ridge Tower and inserted a juiced map to get all three slot.

Completed map by hitting the precursor, still had some monsters to kill and had picked loot.

Game paused basically and I couldn't move. I closed it and opened and the map progress for that tower reset, and I lost all the loot I had picked up.
