We want stable league starters for 0.3
I think the biggest feedback I can give for GGG is that you can't nerf the entire meta for 0.3 and leave the community to figure out what works. This will result in a lot of players trying 1 or 2 bad starting builds, and quitting the league.
If you want to have a higher population in 0.3, you will need to have not so many players quit so quickly in the league. And to do that, you have to throw players a bone and give them a stable league starter build. And of course to do that, you can't nerf everything in the meta. I honestly believe the 0.3 numbers will be *worse* than 0.2 if they do the what they just did in 0.2, and nerf absolutely every meta build and leave us to find builds from scratch. I disagree with the idea that nerfing the meta and allowing the community to experiment is inherently detrimental to the league.
This is early acces, we're still in a critical testing and balancing phase. Volatility is not only expected, it's necessary. A wide distribution of builds and class usage, especially when new skill systems, support gems, unique items, or classes are being introduced is integral to give the developers the data they need to make meaningful adjustments. Yes, it can be frustrating when familiar league starters no longer perform the way we're used to. But early access isn't about stability, it's about iteration. Holding off on providing "safe" builds ensures the meta doesn't stagnate and encourages exploration, which helps in identifying under or overperforming mechanics across the board. Stability and meta-defining builds should be a goal for 1.0. Until then, some imbalance is the price of progress. Dernière édition par Leonemeaeus#0087, le 10 mai 2025 à 20:36:02

I disagree with the notion that nerfs=bad.
I also don't think buffs=good. It's about finding a proper balance. That said, GGG has been woefully neglectful in making prompt adjustments once outliers have been revealed. I want them to take more action, more often. |

" GGG is apparently treating this game like the exacte opposite of that. We absolutely do not have iteration here. We have one build absolutely dominating everything at the moment. Scarcity of skill and support gem during campain certainly doesn't help experimentation. Less player power and always more restriction means less rooms to experiment and have fun. But apparently GGG is already trating poe 2 like a curated experience where everything is perfectly balanced (it's not) and your toys will be broken because John thinks you're doing it wrong. It's not working bro, we do not like it, there is no progress, 0.2 is a clear cut failure. Hopefully it's just a bump in the road, nothing else do to except wait and take more copium. |
