The Gatcha Problem
Everything regarding gearing in this game comes down to the frustration of gatcha games. The difference with gatcha games is that they are designed to frustrate you into paying money to get an advantage. PoE2 is not designed that way and third party companies are exploiting that space and frustration.
The randomization and extreme scarcity of good items is creating the problem. It's not a player issue it's a game design issue. Please do something to fix the issue of everything being a gatcha mechanic. Don't let the real money traders exploit the flaws and frustrations of your game. Give us deterministic solutions like target farming and target crafting please. Why cant certain bosses drop gear for warriors and certain bosses drop gear for sorcs? Why can't I farm a certain boss 5000 times for dream fragments? It's insane. Let alone target farm certain content easily. Not everything has to be a random frustrating process. I never understood why loot has to be so bad. It just doesnt feel rewarding doing bosses or clearing maps. That's the whole point why I play this game. Why force me to play hundreds of hours the same character because gearing up is so hard, instead of giving me plenty of good ways/opportunities to let me level and gear up and once I have reached max level with good gear, I can try out a new character...

Yup - for a game franchise that claims to draw on, and be the spiritual successor to D2, it has no idea what fucking fun is. Especially fun items, and rewards.

" The game is so close to being fun.they just make it so frustrating with the random everything and killing interesting builds. It feels like they are about to introduce a pay wall every patch tbh. Dernière édition par DankWeebTrash#7386, le 10 mai 2025 à 21:16:09

" I agree with that completely ... i keep ranting about shit, but i'm literally addicted... O,o But its definitely NOT the rewards that keep me playing. Just something kinda satisfying about combat. Its nice not to mash a single button and keep moving east... always to the east. GGG - Why you no?

" I quit playing the game for Expedition 33. I don't plan on coming back until they change things. I don't have enough time to sink into nondetermenistic bs. It could be a good game. But they are so set on making it a randomized hell hole of suffering... that until they change it I'm not going to waste my time. |

" I hear ya, and i'm sure based on 'survey says'... You're not alone. :D GGG - Why you no?

" Probably not. I've done everything in Expedition 33 and plan on doing it 10 more times before coming back to this randomized loterry simulation. I'd rather play Wuthering Waves and pay 800$ to garuntee i have fun than play this frustrating crap. ~20k less players on steam this Saturday compared to last shows people are moving on and not coming back. Anyway hopefully devs actually read their feedback forums. Cuz it doesn't seem like they do. I'll continue putting time in other games until they address real issues instead of throwing out patches that address strongboxes...... literal nothing burger of a patch when most classes feel bad and loot is non-determanistically acquireable.
