Loot buff did nothing but make trash loot drop more
im just getting yellow rare loot that isnt even worth selling for gold, i guess regal shards i guess.
I think you guys need to do something with currency drops, im running 120% rarity gear only with quant/rarity maps and only getting 2-5 exalts per map.. Dernier bump le 10 mai 2025 à 19:41:52

" 200% after yesterday back to piles of junk again 200 IR juiced maps...verging on quitting again. What's the point of playing...what have they got against good loot drops... Level 97 Ice strike Monkey

I said that right after playing 1 map in 0.2.0g and quitting. They brought trash loot mass from poe1 to poe2. It helps getting through acts with your first char in league, compared to Ruthless before (who would've thought people don't like Ruthless, poe1 data must've been false all along kapp)
But in endgame those trash rares give nothing, especially with low-skill crafting being crippled compared to poe1. No more cheap alt/chaos/essence spam, you find 1 good base per 3 maps, roll it once (with the gambling chances originally balanced around 100+ alts lol), throw it away. Stellar progression feeling here. |

The thing is now you gotta pay more attention to the blue tiered drops. Those have a very high chance of rolling high tier mods, so pick them up, look for highest mod of the things you need and save for recombination. That is still the path they want you to take to get your gear. Yellow drops in general is just to id and see if you get lucky. Pure gamba. If it has a mod you want keep it for recomb but those are rather rare in between. If it is a tiered rare it has a better chance for high tier mods(since worse tiers gets culled), but blue tiered items are more often the better ones.
We just need better ways of filtering the items and preferably tiered gear should drop identified. They are rare enough to not create any performance issues by dropping identified. |

" It may be true, but do you realize how much hassle this brings? Poe already has unnecessary archaic manual currency pickup, now we have to stop after every mob pack, open bag, id rares, throw away rares, stash white/blue bases (portal to ho if bag is already full, restock wisdom scrolls). Recombination itself also takes longer to execute than old style currency spam you could do with shift-hover. There may be "very high chance of rolling high tier mods" (though I personally doubt it, its GGG after all), the core gamble system still came from poe1, which required A LOT of rerolls per item to produce endgame upgrades. Now we have 1 reroll per item. Or 0.5 rerolls per item in case of recombination. |

I think if Tiered items continued to have increase success chances of rolling high tiers then everything would be fine but the fact that they don't and after an identify check regress back to being a regular item well...
I can understand if tier 5 items were to keep their success that players could just keep throwing currency at it to reroll amazing stats but is it too hard to make a limit for that? You could have the item present its tier, then every time you throw currency at it like Chaos or anything else that can completely change modifiers, that should include changing or removing the tier itself. So you could give people their crafting opportunity but at a risk...is that so hard? |

I thought tier disappearing from item name is just visual change, and item itself remains "tier X" permanently. But irrelevant either way, removal of cheap scouring orbs is what killed crafting for me. No idea what was the strategy behind this, if any. And certainly not going to find new item base for every single gamble (where you need to win 3-5 times in a row to get an upgrade, lol). Even plowing through trade site is better than this.
Maybe players who just came to poe2 without playing poe1 think this crafting is tolerable, but poe1 system was way more flexible, you didn't need to constantly switch between combat and flipping, and could manage your time better. Dernière édition par Echothesis#7320, le 8 mai 2025 à 08:18:31

" If you think dropping more currencies will allow you to buy stuffs easier then may I introduce you to the concept of inflation. The current drop rates of currencies is just right, not too many exalts but alot more chaos, omens and other crafting currencies, coupled with more tiered items drops, this allows the playersbase to craft more items makeing it easier to get geared while keeping inflation in check. Complaining about currency drops is pointless. If GGG raises them globally, item sellers would just raise prices accordingly even without malicious market cornering groups influence. What matters for economy is:
1) how often level 80+ loot has trash tier affixes (no other arpg does this btw) 2) how accessible it is for average players to craft endgame upgrades without resorting to trade. Currently both points are sitting at "atrocious" Dernière édition par Echothesis#7320, le 9 mai 2025 à 05:13:36
