poisonous concoction bug ?

i'm trying out poisonous concoction atm but i can't use any spirit skills because the skill is tagged as "unarmed" and f.e. wind dancer needs a weapon equipped .. but if i equip a weapon i can't use poisonous concoction .. how can i fix it ? or is it bugged ?
