Lag, massive loading times, graphics lowest of the low
Hi
So my GTX 1650 laptop has been quite ok to game, but POE2 is just...unplayable. I die to invisible mobs, I die to AOEs I can't see (of course they load once I'm dead, doh!), loading times to a zone are so bad, I get trades canceled and ignored by people, because it takes me minutes to load into player zones with few NPCs and storage boxes! I load into a map and wait for 5 minutes, so the white boxes go away. It's Surface Book 3 - i7, 1TB SSD, 32G RAM, GTX 1650 - pretty decent stuff in 2020 (hehe), that can handle lots of games. Sure I tune down grpahics, because FPS is king, but POE2 is just...horrible performance. I tried gazillion tips and tricks, reinstalled Window 11, then back to 10 etc. In general, does POE2 require a lot more hardware to play well? I been thinking of buying new laptop a while, but Surface is discontinued and "regular" laptops are kinda meh compare to it. Stuff I play - Black Desert, Destiny 2, Divinity series, Skyrim, Mass Effect series, Planetside 2, The Witcher series - yes, yes, graphics are meh, but they are playable! Most likely, it's the amount of video memory, four gigabytes is very little by today's standards. Plus, the processor has only four cores - another weak point. The laptop is good, I don't argue, but not for Unreal Engine 5.

Extremely limited overclocking on a laptop, your cpu will infact be the biggest factor because its likely not even anywhere close to over 4ghz.
POE2 is literally the most cpu demanding game for minimal specs on the market. Non Remastered Black Desert isn't too demanding at all on low settings so all the games you mentioned are pretty mute in contrast to triple A standards of the last couple of years.
