Game Crashes Before Loading Screen
Gaming on a laptop.
Windows 24H2 RTX 5080 Mobile Intel 275 HX I get a black screen for maybe 10 seconds and I can see and move the game's custom cursor, but always crashes before anything else happens. Dump shows exception code 0xc0000005 - The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access. No config file is generated, the standalone installer also does not work. "Disconnected from patching server before..." Issue persists despite validating files. This has been a problem since the 22nd, which is when I first installed the game. " Dernière édition par Lockermanwolf#0154, le 1 mai 2025 à 00:49:22 Dernier bump le 1 mai 2025 à 16:52:37

Latest patch is being rolled back, hence being unable to connect to patching server.
It looks like your laptop has onboard graphics that the game is trying to use. Once the game servers are back online, can you get into Options and check? 😹😹😹😹😹 I do not and will not use TFT. Gaming Granny :D 🐢🐢🐢🪲🪲🪲 @xjjanie.bsky.social Dernière édition par xjjanie#4242, le 1 mai 2025 à 00:51:59

I just got done installing through the standalone installer, and it doesn't crash on startup like the steam version does.
The standalone was also set to my discrete gpu when I checked. I'm not able to get into the steam version at all to check the settings, despite there now being a fully populated config file. I also noticed with the standalone version there's a cutscene/splash screen before getting to the cogs. On the steam version I get nothing - just a movable cursor before it crashes with the same error code. " |
